Jim Rogers Interview
Posted Tuesday, November 10th, 2009 at 9:14 am
This morning, I came across another Jim Rogers-related piece that might interest you.
Damien Hoffman of the Wall St. Cheat Sheet posted the text of a recent interview he did with the legendary investor on the Seeking Alpha blog today.
According to Rogers:
Despite Gold’s potential, I think I will make more money in other commodities such as silver, cotton, or coffee — all of which are terribly depressed.
There’s lots more great stuff, including additional thoughts by Jim on Nouriel Roubini and his take on asset bubbles. You can read the interview here.

Yes, he is buying Sri Lanka. The only problem is how the average investor can do it. After taxes, rent, and food, I don’t have enough to spare for a trip to Sri Lanka. =/

Thanks for the comment Azbx23.
“The only problem is how the average investor can do it.”
There is limited information, and opportunities, out there for the average investor, it seems. However, I did come across the following Sri Lankan investment resources, which may be of use to Investorazzi readers:
Board of Investment of Sri Lanka (BOI)
http://www.boi.lk
“The Board of Investment of Sri Lanka completes 29 years of existence in 2007. In this time, it has acted as an engine of growth creating a considerable impact on the country’s economic development… The BOI is structured to function as a central facilitation point for investors.”

Hmm…thanks for doing some digging on this. I was looking into the possibilities as well, but have not yet found anything cost-effective for the average joe. I will keep you posted if I find anything new.

Thanks for the follow-up Azbx23.

That would be wonderful. I’m sure a number of readers would be interested to see what opportunities are available.
